Big-Picture Outlook
The Government of National Unity (GNU) and its affiliated security groups are once again looking toward maximising their power, as the international processes to resolve the crisis are losing momentum.
Overall, the country is still suffering from institutional failure, as tensions once again flare up regarding the Ras Jdir border with Tunisia. The economy is still facing a major crisis, but the rise in oil prices globally is potentially giving the Central Bank of Libya (CBL) a chance to slow the bleeding.
