Big-Picture Outlook
Eastern Libya saw increasing domestic and foreign activity, as eastern Libyan authorities continue to build momentum for Libya National Army Commander (LNA) Khalifa Haftar to become the President of Libya. House of Representatives (HoR) Speaker Saleh took part in a foreign trip to Greece, as the question of Turkish claims in the eastern Mediterranean linger.
U.S. military commanders continue to press for intra-Libyan security cooperation as preparations continue for regional military exercises. The International Criminal Court (ICC) made history by beginning its prosecution of its first Libyan suspect.
