Libyaโ€™s LNA unveils Vision 2030

Al-Rajma is looking to move from fragmentation to an institutional force

Libyaโ€™s LNA unveils Vision 2030

This week, the Libyan National Army (LNA) formally launched its Vision 2030, a strategic transformation roadmap designed to move the force from a period defined by fragmentation and improvised command structures toward what it calls a unified, professional, and modern army.

The ceremony held in Benghazi was attended by senior commanders and signed off by Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, marking more than the unveiling of a document. It formalised months of internal preparation, data collection, and institutional mapping aimed at redefining how the LNA operates. Crucially, the implementation mandate has been entrusted to Deputy Commander Saddam Haftar, a move that carries both operational and symbolic weight.

What Vision 2030 Actually Means

At its core, Vision 2030 is an admission and a recalibration.
